Prayer - Monday
- Give thanks to God for salvation and the redemption that is found alone through Jesus Christ.
- Give thanks to God for granting us particular skills and abilities that we might fulfil our vocations (jobs, studies, family responsibilities and time we spend    alone). (Ecclesiastes 9.10, Ephesians 6.6)
- Pray for the Lord's blessing on the working week for us and all in the congregation.
- Pray the Lord would grant us grace to be good ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5.20)

Daily Reading
Preface - Ephraim threatened for pride and drunkenness. God will be the glory and strength of the residue. They are reported for their excess, and carnal security. Christ, the sure foundation, promised. The security of the corners shall end in destruction. The wisdom of God's providence is seen in the discreet labours of the husband mman.
Isaiah 28
Preface - The apostle, after a kind salutation Gaius, testifieth his joy in his piety, commending Diotrephes, and threateneth him for his ambitious opposition. The ill example of such is not to be followed. He beareth testimony to the good character of Demetrius. He hopeth to see Gaius shortly, and concludeth with salutations.

2 John

Dialy Light - Morning
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. - I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. - Who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! - As for God, his way is perfect; the word od the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

If any man love God, the same is known of him. - The foundation God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. - The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. - Thoun hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
Na. 1.7; Jer. 33.11; Ps. 46.1; Ps. 91.2; Deu. 33.29; 2 Sa. 22.31-32

Daily Light - Eveining
I would have you without carefulness.

He careth for you. - The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him... The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
1 Co. 7.32; 1 Pe. 5.7; 2 Chr. 16.9
Ps. 34.8,10; Mt. 6.25-26; Phil. 4.6-7

A Puritans Catechism
Q 80 - What is the Lord's Supper?
A - The Lord's Supper is an ordinance of the New Testament, instituted by Jesus Christ; wherein, by giving and receiving bread and wine, according to his appointment, his death is shown forth, and the worthy receivers are, not after a corporeal and carnal manner, but by faith, made partakers of his body and blood, with all his benefits, to their spiritual nourishment, and growth in grace.

The better half of salvation...
1 Thessalonians 4 v 3

Christ's work is not done with a soul when He has brought it to pardon - when He has washed it in His own Blood. Oh, no! the better half of salvation remains.
