Daily Reading
Preface - Joshua exhorteth before his death to obedience by the remembrance of former benefits, by the prospect of future blessings,
and by threatenings in case of disobedience.
Joshua 23
Preface - The lame man healed by Peter and John: Peter declareth to the people that this cure was not wrought by any power or holiness in
himself or John, but by the power of God through faith in the name of Jesus, whom they had ignorantly crucified, but whom God has raised
from the dead according to the scriptures; and exhorteth them by faith to seek remission of sins and salvation in Jesus, whose coming
had been spoken of by Moses and all the prophets.
Acts 3

A Puritan Chatechism
Q19 - Did God leave all mankind to perish in the state of sin and misery?
A - God, having out of his good pleasure from all eternity, elected some to everlasting life, did enter into a covenant of grace to deliver them
out of the state of sin and mister, and to bring them into a state of salvation by a Redeemer.

Robert Murray M'Cheyne - God Makes a Path - Daily Devotional Readings
Study holiness  - But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 1 Peter 1 v 15
Seek daily likeness to Jesus. We are not justified by our sanctification; and yet without sanctification we cannot have abiding peace or communion.
We are justified entirely by the doing and dying of the Lord Jesus; and yet, when justified, He will change us into His image; so that the longer we
are justified we should be the more sanctified. Study holiness; if you would have peace now, and be found of Christ in peace. The holiest believers
are evermore the happiest.
