Daily Prayer - Thursday
Thursday
- Give thanks to God that we are part of a global church made up of true Christians across the world.
- Give thanks to God for the freedoms we have to share the Gospel in England and pray that it may continue.
- Pray for missionaries across the world who are seeking to preach the Gospel and establish a faithful church.
- Pray for those in persecuted countries who have to meet in secret. Even those who are now in prison for their faith. Give thanks to God that we are part       of a global church made up of true Christians across the world.

Saturday morning at Victoria Street (outside the big Boots store) for 10:30am (across the road from Town Hall - No. 64). Afterwards we go back to church for prayer.  



Daily Reading Plan - First Year
Preface - Moses encourageth the people, and Joshua. He delivereth the law to the priests to be read by them every seventh year to the people. Moses and Joshua appear before God. God telleth Moses of the people's future apostasy, and the consequent evils, and giveth him a song to testify against them. Joshua receiveth a charge. Moses delivereth the book of the law to the Levites to keep, and calleth together the elders and officers to hear the song.

Daily Light - Morning
Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed....
and that thou wouldest keep me from evil....
And God granted him that which he requested.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. - When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. - How great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! - I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Daily Light - Evening
It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD
for bringing them out from the land of Egypt.

The Lord Jesus The same night in which he was betrayed took bread: and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

He....kneeled down, and prayed.... And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

It was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour....they took Jesus, and led him away....into a place called.... Colgotha: where they crucified him.

Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast.

Conquerors
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8 v 37

Truly we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us; for we can give thanks before the fight is done. Yes, even in the thickest of the battle we can look up to Jesus, and cry, Thanks to God. The moment a soul, groaning under corruption, rests the eye on Jesus, that moment his groans are changed into songs of praise. In Jesus you discover a fountain to wash away the guilt of all your sin. In Jesus you discover grace sufficient for you, - grace to hold you up to the end, - and a sure promise that sin shall soon be rooted out altogether. 'Fear not, I have redeemed thee. I have called thee by My name; thou art Mine.' Ah, this turns our groans into songs of praise! How often a psalm begins with groans and ends with praises! This is the daily experience of all the Lord's people. Is it yours? Try yourselves by this. Oh, if you know not the believer's song of praise, you will never cast your crowns with them at the feet of Jesus! Dear believers, be content to glory in your infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon you. Glory, glory, glory to the Lamb!
