Daily Prayer - Sunday
Sunday
Give thanks to God for His character, perfect, unchangeable, the same yesterday today and forever.
Give thanks to God that we can meet in the church and have fellowship with one another.
Pray the Lord would grant the preaching of his word power and clarity, and there are ready ears to hear and believe it. (2 Thes. 3.1.).
Pray we would receive faithful ministry and spiritual food from God’s Word (1 Pet 2.2.)

Daily Light - Morning
His commandments are not grievous.

This is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life. - Whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

My yoke is easy, and my burden is light. - If ye love me, keep my commandments.... He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. - Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. - Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. - I delight in the law of God after the inward man.

This is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another. - Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Daily Light - Evening
Remember not
the sins of my youth,
nor my transgressions.

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins. - I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. - Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. - I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. - Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Thou has in love to my soul delivered it from the pit or corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. - Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity?....he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. - Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood....to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen

PARAGRAPH 7

As it is the law of nature, that in general a proportion of time, by God's appointment be set apart for the worship of God, so by his Word, in a positive moral, and perpetual commandment, binding all men, in all ages, he has particularly appointed one day in seven for a sabbath to be kept holy unto him,  (28)  which from the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ was the last day of the week, and from the resurrection of Christ was changed into the first day of the week, which is called the Lord's Day:  (29)  and is to be continued to the end of the world as the Christian sabbath, the observation of the last day of the week being abolished.
(28)-Exod. 20.8  (29)-1 Cor. 16.1-2; Acts 20.7; Rev. 1.10

What God will not give
I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 42 v 8

If Christ has been made to rise on your soul, happy are you. You were sometime darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light. See who did it, and give him the praise. It is the Lord. God gave Christ to be a light to thy soul. Give Him, and Him alone, the glory. 'My glory will I not give to another.' (1) Do not give the praise to yourself. Do not say, my own wisdom or my own prayers have gotten me this. It was all undeserved mercy to the chief of sinners. 'My glory will I not give to another.' (2) Do not give the glory to ministers. They are often the instruments of bringing souls to Christ, but they cannot make Christ arise on the soul, any more than they can make the sun to rise on the earth. We can point to the sun, though we cannot make it rise; so, we can point you to Christ, but cannot make Him rise on your soul. The work is God's, and He will have the glory. I believe the work is greatly hindered among us from the cause mentioned.
Plead with God to fulfil His word, that Christ may be a light to the nations. It is as easy with God to make Christ rise on many souls as upon one. Show Him that it is for His glory that a nation be born in a day. Give Him no rest till he pour down the Spirit on all our families, till there be a great looking unto Jesus, and rejoicing in Him. Take thine own glory, O Lord; give it to no other, neither thy praise to graven images.
