Daily Prayer - Sunday
Sunday
Give thanks to God for His character, perfect, unchangeable, the same yesterday today and forever.
Give thanks to God that we can meet in the church and have fellowship with one another.
Pray the Lord would grant the preaching of his word power and clarity, and there are ready ears to hear and believe it. (2 Thes. 3.1.).
Pray we would receive faithful ministry and spiritual food from God’s Word (1 Pet 2.2.)

Preface - The people are commanded to write the law upon stones, which are to be set up, and an altar of whole stones to be built, in Mount Ebal. Moses and the priests recommend attention and obedience to the law. Six tribes to be stationed on Gerizim, and six on Ebal. The curses to be pronounced by the Levites.
Deuteronomy 27-28:19
Preface - This psalm containeth various prayers, praises, and professions of obedience.
Psalms 119:1-24

Daily Light - Morning
Yare dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. - If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. - As thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us. - Ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. - Because I live, ye shall live also.

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Col. 3.3; Ro. 6.2; Ga. 2.20; 2 Co. 5.15; 2 Co. 5.17
1 Jn. 5.20; Jn. 17.21; 1 Co. 12.27; Jn. 14.19
Rev. 2.17

Daily Light - Evening
Behold how he loved.

He died for all. - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

He....liveth to make intercession for them. - I go to prepare a place for you.

I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  - Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am. - Having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

We love him, because he first loved us. - The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Jn. 11.36; 2 Co. 5.15; Jn. 15.13
He. 7.25; Jn. 14.2
Jn. 14.3; Jn. 17.24; Jn. 13.1
1 Jn. 4.19; 2 Co. 5.14-15
Jn. 15.10

PARAGRAPH 7

As it is the law of nature, that in general a proportion of time, by God's appointment be set apart for the worship of God, so by his Word, in a positive moral, and perpetual commandment, binding all men, in all ages, he has particularly appointed one day in seven for a sabbath to be kept holy unto him,  (28)  which from the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ was the last day of the week, and from the resurrection of Christ was changed into the first day of the week, which is called the Lord's Day:  (29)  and is to be continued to the end of the world as the Christian sabbath, the observation of the last day of the week being abolished.
(28)-Exod. 20.8  (29)-1 Cor. 16.1-2; Acts 20.7; Rev. 1.10

The first sip of the cup of eternal bliss
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4 v 32

There is something very heavenly in these words. 'Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee.' Those of you who have believed on Christ, you are forgiven. 'As far as east is distant from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.' Your sins have been already forgiven, as many of you as have believed on Christ. If you really lay hold on Christ, sinner, tonight your sins will be forgiven thee. Oh, brethren, this is happiness - this is the first sip of the cup of eternal bliss - this is peace: 'Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.'
