Daily Prayer - Friday
- Give thanks to God for many good things we enjoy and daily blessings.
- Pray the Lord would supply the needs of those in the congregation at Westminster and guide us as we help those destitute and suffering.                               Especially those we have met in the pandemic. (Numbers 6.24-26.)
- Pray for the ministry among the children and that they would know Christ from a young age. A rich blessing in this troubled world.
- Pray for the evangelistic work, that people would know the greatest blessing of all salvation by the grace of God through Christ.

Daily Reading Plan - First Year
Preface - Jethro bringeth to Moses his wife and two sons. Moses entertaineth him. Jethro blesseth God for his goodness to Israel. He counselleth Moses to provide fit persons, who may assist him in judging the people; his counsel is accepted. Jethro departeth.
Exodus 18
Preface - Christ valueth the poor widow's two mites above all the larger offerings of the rich: foretelleth the destruction of the temple; the signs and calamities that should precede and accompany it; and what should happen at the time of the Son of man's coming: he exhorteth to watchfulness and prayer.
Luke 21

Daily Light - Morning
Thy Maker is thine husband;
the LORD of hosts is his name.

This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken....but thou shalt be called Hephzibah....for the LORD elighteneth in thee.... And as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. - He hath sent me....to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, and oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation....as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Isa. 54.5; Eph. 5.32
Isa. 62.4,5; Isa. 61.1-3
Isa. 61.10
Hos. 2.19
Ro. 8.35

Daily Light - Evening
My times are in thy hand.

All his saints are in thy hand. - The word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.... And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.... Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Ps. 31.15; Deu. 33.3; 1 Ki. 17.2-4,8-9
Mt. 6.25,32
Pro. 3.5-6; 1 Pe. 5.7

Everlasting Remembrance
.... thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
Isaiah 44 v 21

The Lord cannot forget you. If you stood before God in your own righteousness, then I see how you might be separated from His love and care; for your frames vary, your goodness is like the morning cloud and the early dew. But you stand before Him in Christ: and Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
You shall be held in everlasting remembrance.
The world may forget you; your friends may forget you: for this is a forgetting world. You may not have a tombstone over your grave; but God will not forget you. Christ will put your name beside that of His faithful martyr, Antipas.
In life, in death, in eternity, thou 'shalt not be forgotten of me.'
