Daily Prayer - Friday
Friday
- Give thanks to God for many good things we enjoy and daily blessings.
- Pray the Lord would supply the needs of those in the congregation at Westminster and guide uas as we help those destitute and suffering (Numbers 6.24-26.).
- Pray for the ministry among the children in the Sunday School and Friday Bible Club and that they would know Christ from a young age. A rich blessing in this troubled world.

Daily Reading Plan - Second Year
Preface - The prophet, being sent to reprove hypocrisy, sheweth the difference between a counterfeit fast and a true: he declareth what blessings shall attend a godly performance of the duties of the latter, and the observance of the sabbath.
Isaiah 58
Pre
face - Christ continuing his sermon giveth directions about charitable giving, prayer, forgiving our brethren, fasting, laying up treasure in heaven, keeping a single eye: and exhorteth not to be anxious about worldly things, but principally to seek God's kingdom and righteousness.
Matthew 6

Daily Light - Morning
Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed....
and that thou wouldest keep me from evil....
And God granted him that which he requested.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. - When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. - How great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which, thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! - I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. - The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
1 Chr. 4.10; Pro. 10.22; Job 34.29
Ps. 3.8; Ps. 31.19; Jn. 17.15
Mt. 7.7-8; Ps. 34.22

Daily Light - Evening
It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD
for bringing them out from the land of Egypt.

The Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this doe ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

He....kneeled down, and prayed.... And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

He....kneeled down, and prayed.... And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

It was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour....they took Jesus, and led him away....into a place called.... Golgotha: where they crucified him.

Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast.
Ex. 12.42; 1 Co. 11.23-25
Lu. 22.41,44
Jn. 19,14,16,17-18
1 Co. 5.7-8

A Puritans Catechism
Q  79 - What is the duty of such as are rightly baptised?

A - It is the duty of such as are rightly baptised, to give themselves up to some particular and orderly Church of Jesus Christ, that they may walk in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

The 1689
Baptist Confession of Faith
Of the fall of Man, of Sin, and of the Punishment thereof
Chapter 6

PARAGRAPH 1

Although God created man upright and perfect, and gave him a righteous law, which had been unto life had he kept it, and threatened death upon the breach thereof,  (1)  yet he did not long abide in this honour; Satan using the subtlety of the serpent to subdue Eve, then by her seducing Adam, who, without any compulsion, did willfully transgress the law of their creation, and the command given to them, in eating the forbidden fruit,  (2)  which God was pleased, according to His wise and holy counsel to permit, having purposed to order it to His own glory.
1)  Gen. 2:16-17
2)  Gen. 3:12-13; 2 Cor. 11:13

Robert Murray M'Cheyne - God Makes A Path - Daily Devotional Readings
The better half of salvation
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification...
1 Thessalonians 4 v 3

Christ's work is not done with a soul when He has brought it to pardon - when He has washed it in His own Blood. Oh, no! the better half of salvation remains - His great work of sanctification remains.
